Zoom is the video conferencing platform supported by UCSF. Although your Zoom account is automatically linked myAccess, you may find it useful to go through some of the settings found within the settings page This is where you can enable Waiting rooms, Breakout rooms, Polling and other features. 

If you are new to teaching using Zoom, this engaging course will provide techinical information, teaching practices, and sound and web cam best setup ideas.

Engaging Students using Zoom 

Engaging student’s over Zoom can be more challenging than in an in-person classroom. However, a lot of the core concepts around student engagement remain the largely the same. Learn more about how you can Engage Students Using Four Zoom Tools!

Video Conferencing Hardware 

Although you can use Zoom on almost any laptop or desktop computer, using a reliable webcam and microphone, together with any additional devices such as stylus-input tablets, can create a smoother teaching and learning experience.
